It is a sad commentary on the state and mindset of our country when it is okay to publish a large color photograph of one of the world's most dangerous dead terrorist on the front page of major newspapers, but we cannot see photographs of a flag covered coffins as our precious American sons and daughters return from war.
Shame, shame, shame!

Absolutely. This is a great point.
There was a certain level of barbarism in the whole story. They showed the body, they dropped two five hundred pound bombs on him insteads of just capturing him. Articles appeared describing the death in great detail.
At the same time, we have not been given the opportunity to feel the loss of those who served our country.
Thanks.
This was a letter to the editor that I sent to the San Jose Mercury News.
I am happy to report that they printed my letter in today's paper.
